Hello! My name is Patrick Kossila and I am a wedding pianist in the Twin Cities area. Piano has been a passion of mine my entire life. I grew up in a very musical house. My mom started teaching me around age 5, and I haven't stopped playing since. Jazz music is my favorite kind of piano to play, and I love taking classic songs and giving them a more jazzy twist. In addition to jazz, I also enjoy playing classical music and music from my favorite movies.

 

Along with playing music, I've recently begun writing and producing my own original music. I was apart of my high school wind symphony and jazz band and was the recipient of the Louis Armstrong Jazz award, and the Phillip J Sousa Band Award. I currently play piano for the NDSU Jazz Ensemble as well as the NDSU Jazz Combo.

 

Although playing the piano is area of expertise, I enjoy playing a wide array of other instruments in my free time, such as guitar, saxophone, bass, accordion and many others. Learning new instruments is one of my favorite things to do because it helps me express my music in new ways.

 

I started playing piano for weddings in 2015 because I love sharing my music with others and will always seek opportunities that allow me to do so.
